Sharia law and Islamic finance principles

Understanding Swap-Free trading

Certain trading instruments incur higher swap rates midweek due to settlement cycles and weekend adjustments. Forex transactions typically follow a T+2 settlement, with positions held past Wednesday incurring a three-day swap to cover the weekend.

Precious metals like gold and silver follow similar rules, while other instruments such as oil, indices, commodities, and stocks mostly follow a T+0 settlement cycle, with weekend swaps applied on Friday.

Please note, for MT4 platform, due to system limitations, Friday reflects a three-day swap, though swaps are effectively applied on Saturday and Sunday separately since November 2021.

Swap-free accounts do not incur overnight swap charges for the first 10 calendar days. After this period, a fixed storage fee or commission may apply. Eligibility for a swap-free account requires submitting relevant documentation and is subject to approval.
